The Guangdong province, China, Department of Ecology and Environment published a draught plan
for 2023–2025 to minimise volatile organic compound (VOC) and nitrogen oxide (NOx)
emissions for ozone pollution control on January 3, 2023, and is seeking feedback from the
public.
The strategy attempts to steadily reduce NOx and VOCs, which act as ozone precursors. For the
petrochemical, chemical, printing, automotive, and other industries, it includes VOC emission
reduction targets and requirements that are industry specific.

  On February 15, 2023, the Guangdong province, China, Department of Ecology and
Environment launched a programme for 2023–2025 to reduce emissions of volatile organic
compounds (VOC) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) for the control of ozone pollution.
