Upon completing K-REACH registration, registrants must comply with post-registration obligations, including providing safety information on chemical substances within the supply chain.

1. Obligation to Provide Safety Information

In accordance with Article 36 of K-REACH:

• Safety information should be documented using Form 25.
  

• If a company has already prepared a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (KOSHA) (Articles 29(1) and 41), it may submit the MSDS along with Form 26 (which contains registered substance safety and risk details) instead of Form 25.
  

• Either Form 25 or Form 26 + MSDS must be shared with downstream users in written or electronic format when supplying registered substances or their mixtures.
  

• Safety information must be prepared in accordance with guidelines issued by the National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER).
  

2. Preparation Requirements

• If a registered substance exceeds 10 tons per year, a Chemical Safety Report (CSR) is required as part of K-REACH registration. Once registration is completed, either Form 25 or Form 26 + MSDS must be prepared.
  

3. Methods of Transmission

• For substances exceeding 10 tons per year, a CSR is mandatory, and after registration, the required safety documents (Form 25 or Form 26 + MSDS) must be shared with downstream users.
  

• For substances registered below 10 tons per year, a CSR is not required. Due to limited exposure data, Form 25 or 26 may not be feasible. In such cases:
  

  • Only the MSDS needs to be provided to downstream users.
    

  • The regulatory section of the MSDS must include a statement confirming that the substance has been registered under K-REACH.
