The Australian Government has amended the Industrial Chemicals Environmental Management Standards (IChEMS) Register, adding 21 new chemicals through the Industrial Chemicals Environmental Management (Register) Amendment (2026 Measures No. 1) Instrument 2026. 

Published on 18 June 2026 and effective from 19 June 2026, the amendment strengthens Australia’s environmental management framework for industrial chemicals.
