The Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI) in Hazardous and Toxic Waste Management was implemented by the issuance and enactment of Regulation No. 11 of 2024 by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) of Indonesia on August 30, 2024.
Businesses engaged in B3 Waste Management, such as waste management services, productions, and activities that provide a high danger to the environment, are mandated by the Regulation to have staff who possess B3 Waste Management competency certificates. The Regulation specifies work attitudes, duties, prospective jobs, and guidelines for packaging competency units in addition to the criteria for employee qualification level descriptions.
Qualifications for Personnel in B3 Waste Management
Levels 3 and 6 of credentials apply to employees in B3 Waste Management. Ordinary employees usually work at level 3, whereas leadership roles are the focus of level 6, which calls for more competency units. The following tables provide a summary of the requirements for various businesses in B3 Waste Management as well as the duties of employees at various levels.
Those who successfully complete the competency exam given by a Professional Certification Institution will receive competency certificates. These certifications are renewable after the initial three-year period. The institution is in charge of yearly competency monitoring for certificate holders, and the renewal procedure is influenced by the findings. Prior to August 30, 2024, competency certifications will be valid until the date of expiration.
