2. Deferred Implementation for Assemblies, Sub-Assemblies, and Components For assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components included in the First Schedule, the amendment states that the compliance date will be notified separately by the Central Government through the Official Gazette.

Currently, no specific implementation date has been announced for these categories.

1. Machinery and Electrical Equipment Products listed in the First Schedule of the 2024 Omnibus Technical Regulation (OTR) Order are required to comply with BIS certification standards by 1st September 2026.

2. Assemblies, Sub-Assemblies, and Components These items are currently exempt from mandatory compliance. Certification requirements will apply only after a separate notification is issued in the future.
