EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation)

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) is a major regulatory initiative aimed at minimizing the EU’s contribution to global deforestation and forest degradation. It requires companies placing certain commodities or products on the EU market—or exporting them from the EU—to ensure they are deforestation-free, legally produced, and fully traceable to their geographic origin. The regulation applies to key commodities associated with deforestation, including cattle, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, soy, and wood, as well as many products derived from them.
